Kathrin – pure alpine living is centrally located in Großarl in Salzburger Land – right next to the leisure center and just a few minutes’ walk from the village center and the mountain lifts. About 70 kilometers south of the city of Salzburg, you can easily reach our apartment house by car, train, or plane. This way, your mountain vacation starts relaxed and uncomplicated – no matter which direction you are coming from.

Arrival by car
You can easily reach Großarl via the Tauern motorway from Salzburg as well as from Villach. Leave the A10 at the Bischofshofen exit and follow the B311 to St. Johann im Pongau. From there, the Großarler Landesstraße will lead you about 16 kilometers further through the Großarl Valley to us in Großarl.
From the North and from Germany: Coming from Munich, take the A8 towards Salzburg and then continue on the A10 towards Villach. At Bischofshofen, leave the motorway and follow the signs to St. Johann im Pongau and Großarl.
From the South: From Carinthia or Italy, take the A10 towards Salzburg until the Bischofshofen exit. From there, continue via St. Johann im Pongau into the Großarl Valley.
You can park your car during your stay free of charge directly at the apartment house .Arrival by plane
The nearest airport is Salzburg Airport, which is about 70 kilometers from Großarl. From there, you can reach us by rental car, organized transfer, or public transport.
Munich Airport is about 220 kilometers away. Depending on the route and traffic, the journey time to Großarl is approximately two and a half to three hours.
Upon request, we will gladly assist you with organizing a shuttle or airport transfer. Please let us know in good time before your arrival. Various rental car providers are also available at both airports.
With the Guest Mobility Ticket , you can use public transport throughout Salzburger Land free of charge during your stay. If the ticket is issued to you in advance via pre-check-in, you can also use it for public transport from your arrival in Salzburger Land.Arrival by train
Your destination station is St. Johann im Pongau. The station is regularly accessible with regional and interregional train connections and is about 16 kilometers from Großarl.
From St. Johann im Pongau station, the Postbus line 540 will take you directly into the Großarl Valley. For your journey to Kathrin – pure alpine living, the Großarl Sportzentrum stop is suitable, which is in the immediate vicinity of our apartment house.
You can also use the Guest Mobility Ticket for train and bus travel. If issued before arrival, onward travel within Salzburger Land is free from the day of arrival. Alternatively, upon request, we can gladly organize a transfer from the train station to your apartment.
